Designed by Claridge's Flowers for the hotel's 2024 Christmas decorations in collaboration with British artist, Sam Wood, A Palace Of Stars is an illuminated cut paper artwork inside a delicate handmade glass dome that evokes the Art Deco architecture of the hotel and joy of hotel life during the festive period.
Each glass dome is hand-painted and signed by the artist and strictly limited to one hundred pieces.
Measures approximately 200mm diameter and 250mm high. Supplied with USB cable.
About the artist
Sam Wood is an English artist living and working in London who explores the natural world and the urban environment through painting and drawing. His painterly style captures any subject so perfectly despite the economy of line, and with every mark the sense of energy and joy increases.
Sam graduated from Central St Martins in 2012 and has established himself among a new generation of young British artists. He regularly undertakes large scale commissions for both corporate and residential projects including Claridge’s - and has work represented in private collections internationally.
