Role: Operations Team Support - Florist Assistant

Type: Full time

Salary: From £25,000 annually 

 

Description: 

Claridge's Flowers are looking for a reliable and enthusiastic Florists’ Assistant to join our busy contracts team, working closely with our talented team of Floral Designers. You will play a key role in supporting the delivery of first-class floral services to our prestigious 5-star hospitality clients.

This is a full-time position (40 hours per week), based on a seven-day operation, with a rotating schedule. The role requires flexibility, as your shifts may fall on any day between Monday and Sunday. Working hours are predominantly very early mornings or overnight, and a typical week will include at least two shifts starting at 2am and one overnight shift. Unsocial hours are defined as any worked between 11pm and 5am.

The role is physically demanding, and we’re looking for someone who is a self-starter, reliable and has strong attention to detail. Customer service is at the heart of what we do, and you’ll need to be professional, well-presented, and comfortable working in high-end environments where we are always ‘on show’.

Your duties will include:

• Assisting with the installation and clearance of weekly contract floral displays at any of our customers’ locations

• Assisting with the maintenance of these floral displays

• Keeping the workroom clean and organised

• Driving company vans to deliver flowers and arrangements

• Making trips to the Flower Market to purchase and collect flowers and foliage

• Washing, sorting, storing and preparing vases for use

• Conditioning and preparing flowers (training and guidance will be provided)

• Recording and reporting breakages

• Helping with the preparation and installation of Christmas decorations

• Occasionally supporting our Events and Workroom teams as needed

 

Role requirements

·Full drivers license and minimum of 5 years’ experience of driving a Transit Van

·Previous experience in a manual operations or similar role is preferred.
